The dream of a questionably insane boy

Dearest reader, if you, yes you, still exist after my months and months of absence I have a dream to tell you. It's a simple on, not to obnoxious, not to complicated, but all around lovely. My fantasy is to be at a ripe of 20... and at that age, on the day of my birthday, finally purchase a pair of shoes from a brand I have lusted over for quite some time. This shoe, the special shoe, will be a finsk wedge (if they still sell them in a few years).
Simple and chic should be the tag phrase of these retro shoes. So in honor of my new found love I wrote a poem, it's not very good... But it's to the point.
Oh Finsk, Oh Finsk
How the sweet the sound
those heels make against a marble ground
Oh! how I could wear them to a meeting, a meeting deciding the future of my life
Oh! How I could wear them to a night on the town, with very little else to hide them from everyone's sight,
Oh! Oh! Oh! Finsk, not to be shamelessly proclaiming my love, but dear young Finsk
May I ask? Will you be my beloved, soon to be betrothed.
I promise a good marriage
I will treat you right
I promise no scoffing, or hurting will every befall your lovely face....
So I beseech, dear young Finsk, please.... MARRY ME?!

.... Oh the fun things a fifteen year old boy does late at night. Regardless of that blurb of shamelesss love, I bid you my readers, (hopefully you still exist) a good night! Expect a return of the style outsider! One which will blow your socks off! And possibly your shoes... Right INTO MY HOUSE! HEHEHEHEHE. Goodnight!

Yoana Baraschi

Hands down one of my favorite collections so far. Though small in presentation, the intimate affair that is the box brought the consumer and clothes much closer together. This, along with the wonderful soundtrack and delightful crowd brought Yoana second presentation to a new height of beauty and wonder.

I would normally review the clothes, stating my all around feelings but I really feel like this collection can speak for itself. Nothing is to frumpy, nothing to unwearable, and all around fantastic. (PLEASE SOMEONE GET ME SOME OF THESE CLOTHES, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!)

Oh before I post the pictures I must point out that I am a poop! A big poop. I apologize for my lack of blogging and I hope you will all continue to follow me and spread the word of the style outsider.

The photo credits go to both my friend and I.

I loved the shoes... Classy, elegant, and just the right mixture of youth brought what could have been a fashion disaster into the for runner of beauty.

The promise

I started this blog about a month ago (on tumbler) and it was born out of a need to write. Write what? Well fashion. To create, to make, to just talk about fashion as a whole. Where I live its repressive, hetronormative would be a proper word to describe it. The ideal man, masculine, strong, handsome, fashion-less. The ideal women, Feminine, stylish, sexy, dumb. I'm a mixture of those two. I don't prescribe to a social construct, gender. I believe in the mixture of fashion, the gender-less view. A world where the idea of man and women doesn't exist. It's just clothes. Fashionable clothes. Sexy clothes. Wonderful clothes. BLACK clothes!
But lately this view, a view untainted by the world around me has started to collapse. Social pressure, within my family, and the setting in which I live have destroyed my idealistic goth like world. A fantasy, which by the waring of man wedges, toppled over.
So now where am I? I'm siting in my room, staring at this photo, a photo of a group of wonderfully dressed people. Each one representing in a way or another, my style, my fashion, who I am.

So here I am, and there is only way I can go. Forward. So today, right now, starts this blog. The style outsider, a blog about the gender-less fashion view. A blog about what happens when you stray from color, what happens, when you meet black. It'll take a while for my style to grow and form. But in that time, it will be a journey. A journey in to a world of Rick Owens, GARETH PUGH, Acne, Dior, Comme Des Garcons, RODARTE, ect. A world full of designers, style Icons, Gareth Pugh, fantastic clothes, Gareth Pugh, ect. Gareth Pugh. Goodnight!

A Needed Pick Me Up

The last few days of my life have been hard. It was the first week of school, I got no sleep and as a whole and I just miss summer. I miss the warmth of the sun, the summer breeze, and sleep! Oh sleep, how I miss you!
So in my own need for mental and physical sanity I decided to do the one thing that always makes me happy... What is that you ask? Well its simply me making a nice cup of hot chocolate and looking at Gareth Pugh. (In my opinion, one of the greatest designers of our time)
Gareth Pugh, an England native, creates more then a collection, he creates art. He takes simple cloth and creates new and entirely groundbreaking garments. Gareth creates shapes, textures, and fabrics that in gray, black, and white create more emotional depth then any thing I have ever seen before. He along with Alexander McQueen (may he rest in piece), Rodarte (Oh the beauty that is Rodarte), and Rick Owens (No explanation needed) define my own little style world.
All in all, at the end of a long day, tired, restless, and usually sad and annoyed its nice to come home and stare at Gareth Pugh's aw inspiring collections.
I had been attempting to pick a collection to show, or one picture, but I can't. There all to fantastic, so here are is a lookbook esc video showing his recent fall winter 2010 collection. So much leather so little time. (also if you are against the showing of boobies, you might not want to click.... Just putting that out there now).
